One path, one owner

Shared responsibility for a funnel usually means no one notices when a step silently breaks.

Application analytics survives releases when each critical path has a named owner in product or engineering—not a rotating Slack channel.

Owners decide when a step definition may change and when a rename needs a migration note. Without that, every release reopens the same argument.

Our Metrics Alignment Sessions always end with names next to metrics. A sheet without owners is a wishlist.

If you cannot name who would notice a broken activation event this week, start there before buying new tooling.
